Dear Parent/Guardian:
Thank you for your interest in Our Lady of Mount Carmel School. Our Lady of Mount Carmel provides a quality education for all grade levels including pre-kindergarten through the eighth grades with maximum class sizes of thirteen for our pre-kindergarten program and thirty students for our kindergarten through the eighth grades. School hours for pre-kindergarten through eighth grade are from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. After school childcare is provided each school day with extended day program hours from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. to students in grades pre-kindergarten through eight.
New students are accepted into Our Lady of Mount Carmel School in the following order:
- Catholic Siblings
- Registered & Contributing Parishioners of Mount Carmel and St. Joseph Parishes
- Catholic Parishioners of Other Santa Barbara Parishes
- Members of Other Religious Denominations
Tuition with regard to parishioner status for 2012-13 may be paid in ten or twelve monthly increments. An increase of up to four percent should be expected for next year’s tuition rate. Parish status is verified for families of children in grades K-8. If you are not an active-registered member of a Catholic parish, you will be asked to pay the Non-Catholic tuition rate.
Siblings of current OLMCS students receive priority placement in our full-time Pre-Kindergarten program. Your family may be eligible for a tuition discount for multiple enrollments in our pre-kindergarten through eighth grade programs. Please contact the school office for further details.
Pre-kindergarten applicants must be three years of age and potty-trained before September 1st of the year enrolled.
Kindergarten applicants must be five years of age before September 1st of the year enrolled. Applications for pre-kindergarten and kindergarten are accepted one year before the child seeks admission.
Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions as your interest is appreciated.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Karen Regan
Principal
