Service Hours!

Payment for non-fulfilled hours was expected by May 23 in order for students to participate in any end of the year activities, which includes all 8th grade graduation week activities, including receipt of the final report card..

VOLUNTEERS WANTED!

Volunteers are needed to help clean out and organize the teacher supply room. A recent visit from the fire department leaves us having to remove anything within 24 inches of the ceiling, which will be quite a job! Please contact Mrs. Regan and we will arrange a date and time that works best for all volunteers.

Parent Board News

Piano Lessons

Mr. Aswad is offering piano lessons to anyone interested over the summer. Please contact him directly at 964-8921 if you are interested.

HOT LUNCH

Reminder: hot lunch is ordered on a monthly basis. The ordering for May is now closed. Students who have not paid for Hot lunch are reminded that they must bring their own lunch on those days. There is no hot lunch served in June. Thank you for adhering to these procedures.

Cell Phone Reminder!

All student cell phones are to be OFF and in a backpack at ALL TIMES. If they are seen by a teacher, they will be confiscated and parents will be required to retrieve the cell phone from Mrs. Regan.

Extended Day Care

Please note, our Extended Day Care Program has a phone number to be called when trying to reach the director after the school office has closed. The number is 969-6617.

Car Line and Safety Reminders

A reminder that for the safety of all children, carline is not the place for socializing or exiting vehicles. Please help us ensure all children are safely picked up and our car line runs smoothly. Thank you!

We have students in our school with severe peanut allergies, please refrain from sending class/birthday treats to school that contain peanuts. Thank you!

Please remember that for everyone's safety, teachers are supervising children during car line and cannot be speaking with parents regarding their children at this time. If you need to speak with your child's teacher, please make an appointment or wait until car line is over. Also, please remember if you come through car line, do not exit your vehicle as this slows down the entire line. Thank you for your cooperation!

Middle School Electives

Fifteen middle school students worked hard first trimester to learn how to create a website. They didn't use any fancy program that does the work for them; they wrote the HTML code themselves! You are invited to view their creativity and designs on the Mount Carmel website. Creating Your Own Website will be offered again next fall to the Middle School students.

eScrip Program - Help Raise Funds for OLMCS!

Thank you to all of you who have signed up for E-SCRIP! We are at about 75% school-wide participation and have almost tripled our monthly contribution income from this campaign for sign-ups! Thank you to Annette and Mike Shimada for all of their work on helping get our families registered. If you have not yet signed up, you will be receiving a phone call of assistance, as E-SCRIP participation is obligatory this year as part of your tuition contract. All students who signed up an extra supporter will be receiving a Free Dress Pass. Again, we truly appreciate your support of our fundraisers as they are the only way that we can continue to offer all of our specialist programs!

Please come by the office and check out the list of books currently needed for our school library. A bookplate with the name of the adoptive patron is placed in the front of each book. What a great way to honor a family, individual, or student!

Submit Photos

The Yearbook Committee is happy to receive photos that you have taken of school events throughout the year. You can submit your photography on a CD (formatted for Mac AND PC) or you can attach them to an email message. When attaching images to email, please put them in a zipped file and be sure the attachment is no bigger than 10MB. If necessary, multiple emails with attachments can be sent.

Photos will be reviewed by the Yearbook Committee for possible use in the yearbook, and may also be placed on the website. Please send photo emails to bobbieo@mountcarmelschool.net.
